I connected with Gene who has the severest form of dermintitis I have ever seen. She says it is eczema and she loves the book which I recommended to help move her eczema from acute to chronic state. I hope it helps her as much as it helped me. Maybe I can not ever bring children with eczema to the sun but if I go out of my way to help one person in a non patronising way then it will given meaning to my own 40 years of silent suffering at the hands of eczema.

I feel she has much deeper problems too that are probably both physical and mental. It may be psorisis that she really has. Her teeth are bad  so it looks like her whole system has abandoned her. But her energy is bouncy, kind and mischievous. I like it. I prefer to judge people on their energy and positivism rather than looks.

Go for it Gene. Take on the program in the book. The worst than can happen is you learn that little bit more about the affliction than before. Look at the best it could offer. A future life of easily managed chronic eczema wearing anything you want and swimming pain free anywhere you want.

Selfishly speaking it feels great to share the pain of living with such an affliction.  I want to know but dare not ask why she thought it was OK to take the risk of passing on the disease to her own daughter.
